Boring Notepad — Terms of Use

Kullanım Koşulları · com.kaptanoglu.notepad

By installing or using Boring Notepad ("the app") you agree to these terms.

Last updated: 14 August 2026

What the app does

Boring Notepad stores notes and images on your device, encrypted at rest, with an optional password lock. It works fully offline and is provided free of charge, with no subscription, no in-app purchase and no advertising.

Your notes are yours

You keep full ownership of everything you write. The developer has no access to your content and no ability to read, recover or restore it. You are responsible for the content you store and for using the app lawfully.

Backups and data loss

If you enable the app lock and forget your password, your notes cannot be recovered — by anyone.
  • Keep your own backups. The app can export an encrypted .bak file; storing it somewhere safe is your responsibility.
  • Restoring a backup replaces all current notes and images — it does not merge them.
  • Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all notes, images and settings on the device.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any data loss, lost profits, or any direct, indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app. You use it at your own risk.

Acceptable use

Do not use the app to store or distribute unlawful content, and do not attempt to redistribute a modified copy of the app as if it were the original.

Changes and contact

These terms may be updated; the current version is always the one on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept it. Questions: ongorunet@gmail.com
