By installing or using the Boring Ringtone mobile application ("the app"), you agree to these terms.
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control. You may not resell, redistribute or reverse engineer the app, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it.
You keep all rights to the audio, video and text you bring into the app. We never receive it — all processing happens on your device.
You are responsible for having the right to use the material you import. Turning a copyrighted song into a ringtone may be restricted in your country. The app is a tool; how you use it is your responsibility.
The app can be used free of charge with a daily export limit. A Pro subscription or one-time purchase removes that limit.
Apple does not allow third-party apps to add sounds to the system ringtone
list. On iOS the app produces a correctly formatted .m4r file and
guides you through installing it with GarageBand, the Files app, or a computer.
This is an Apple platform restriction, not a defect in the app.
The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a given file will convert successfully on every device.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including loss of data, arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
These terms may be updated; the current version is always the one published at this address. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
