Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the Get My Ex Back mobile application ("the app") does with your information. It applies to the app on Android and iOS.

Who we are

The app is made and operated by an independent developer (Ali Kaptanoglu). You can reach us any time at ongorunet@gmail.com.

We do not ask you to identify yourself

There is no sign-up, no login, no password. The first time you open the app it generates two random values and stores them on your device:

• A random device identifier — a string of characters with no connection to your phone's hardware IDs, your advertising ID, your Google or Apple account, or anything else about you. It exists so the server can count one vote per method per device and apply rate limits.
• A random nickname such as EmberWolf42, built from a fixed word list. This is the only name the community ever sees. You can roll a new one at any time from the Community screen.

We cannot work out who you are from either value, and we never try to.

What stays only on your phone

The following is written to your device's own storage and is never transmitted anywhere. It is removed when you uninstall the app, or immediately when you use Settings → Erase all my data:

• Your quiz answers and the plan built from them (which phase you are in, your strategic-silence target).
• Your silence counter and which moves you have marked as done.
• Your unsent message vault — everything you write in the SOS screen instead of sending it. This is deliberately local-only: those messages are the most private thing in the app and they never leave your phone.
• Your daily reminder setting and time.
• Your chosen language, your premium status, and the list of community nicknames you have blocked.

What we send to our server, and why

That is the complete list. The app makes no other network requests. It does not read your contacts, your location, your photos, your call or message history, your installed apps, or your advertising ID, and it asks for none of those permissions.

The AI coach

When you send a message to the coach, the text is processed by a large language model (Llama 3.3) running on Cloudflare's Workers AI platform. We keep a log row containing only your random device ID and a timestamp, so the daily limit can be enforced. We do not store the text of your coach conversations and the conversation is not saved on our server; it disappears from the app when you leave the screen.

The coach gives generic advice from an AI model. It is not therapy, not medical advice, and not a professional service. If the relationship involved abuse, threats or controlling behaviour, please do not use this app to try to restore it — talk to someone qualified.

Community moderation

Every post and comment is checked automatically by a content-safety model (Llama Guard) before it becomes visible. Content the model rejects is never published. Content it cannot judge is held for review. In addition, any user can report a post or comment, and three reports from three different devices hide it until a human looks at it. You can also block a nickname, which hides everything from that nickname on your device.

Do not post anything that identifies a real person — not your ex's name, photo, phone number, social handle or workplace. Posts that do are removed.

Who else sees the data

We use Cloudflare, Inc. to host the server, store the database (Cloudflare D1) and run the AI models (Cloudflare Workers AI). They process this data on our behalf as our infrastructure provider.

There are no advertising networks, no analytics providers and no trackers in this app. We do not sell, rent or share your data with anyone, and we never will.

How long we keep things

• Community posts and comments stay until you delete them. Open the ⋮ menu on your own post and choose Delete mine.
• Method votes and coach usage log rows are kept as aggregate counts. They contain no message text.
• To have everything associated with your device removed from the server, email us at ongorunet@gmail.com. We do not need to know who you are — if you can tell us the nickname you posted under, we can find and delete it.

Purchases

If you buy the premium subscription, the payment is handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never see your card number, your billing address or your store account. We only learn whether an active purchase exists.

Children

This app is about adult romantic relationships and is not directed at children. It is intended for users aged 17 and over, and we do not knowingly collect anything from a child.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, or to object to its processing. Because we hold no identifying information about you, the fastest route for most requests is Settings → Erase all my data in the app plus deleting your own posts. For anything else, write to us and we will help.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, mention it in the app's release notes.
