Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how FixCV ("the app", "we", "us") handles information when you use the FixCV Android application. FixCV is an AI-powered CV/resume analysis, tailoring, and building tool.

In short: your CV content is used only to generate the analysis, tailoring, cover letter, or polished text you asked for. We don't run ads, we don't sell data, and we don't require an account.

1. Information You Provide

When you use FixCV's AI features, you provide:

CV / resume content — pasted as text, or extracted from a PDF you choose to upload (via on-device text extraction, and on-device OCR for scanned PDFs).
Job posting text — when using the Tailor or Cover Letter features.
Profile fields you type into the CV Builder (name, headline, experience, education, skills, etc.).

This content is sent, over an encrypted connection, to FixCV's backend (a Cloudflare Worker), which forwards it to our AI provider to generate a response. FixCV's backend does not store your CV content — each request is processed and discarded; the backend keeps no database of submitted text.

2. Information Stored On Your Device

CVs you explicitly tap "Save" for, stored in a local database on your device.
Your language and theme preferences.
Whether you've used your one free analysis, so we know when to show the subscription screen.

None of this on-device data is transmitted to us. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

FixCV offers an optional Premium subscription, sold and billed through Google Play. Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing and managed with RevenueCat, which receives a randomly generated app user identifier and purchase/subscription events to determine your entitlement status. We do not receive or store your payment card details — Google handles all billing.

4. Third-Party Services

FixCV does not include advertising SDKs and does not use third-party analytics or behavioral-tracking SDKs.

5. Permissions

FixCV requests Internet access only, to talk to its backend. Reading a PDF you pick uses Android's document picker (Storage Access Framework), which does not require a broad storage permission.

6. Data Security

All network requests use HTTPS/TLS encryption. Access to FixCV's backend is authenticated with an app-specific key that only the FixCV app holds.

7. Children's Privacy

FixCV is a career/job-search tool intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Your Choices

You can use FixCV's analysis feature once without providing any account information at all.
You can delete all locally saved CVs and preferences at any time by uninstalling the app, or by clearing the app's storage in Android Settings.
To manage or cancel your subscription, use Google Play → Menu → Subscriptions, or the in-app "Manage subscription" link in Settings.

9. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
