Short version: Boring Remove Water has no internet access, no accounts, no advertising and no analytics. It does not collect, transmit, share or sell any personal data.

What the app does with your data

Nothing leaves your phone. The cleaning tones, frequency sweeps and test sounds are generated on your device in real time. The app does not record audio and does not use the microphone.

What the app stores

Only your own preferences, kept locally on your device and removed when you uninstall the app:

Selected cleaning mode, speaker and duration.
Tone generator frequency, waveform and volume.
Settings such as “Max volume while cleaning”, “Vibrate with sound” and “Keep screen on”.

If Android device backup is turned on, the system may include these preferences in your own device backup. The app itself never uploads them.

Permissions and why they are needed

Vibrate	Runs the Vibrate and Deep cleaning modes and the optional “Vibrate with sound” setting.
Modify audio settings	Routes the cleaning sound to the earpiece (top speaker) and temporarily raises the volume while cleaning. Your previous volume is restored when cleaning ends.

The app does not request internet, location, contacts, camera, microphone, storage or any other permission.

Third-party services

None. The app contains no advertising, analytics, crash reporting or tracking libraries.

Bug reports

If you use “Report a bug” in Settings, the app opens your email application with a message pre-filled with the app version, package name, Android version and device model. Nothing is sent until you press send, and you can edit or delete any of it first. If you email us, we only use what you send to reply to you.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no personal data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date above.
